Why apply to the Jazz Youth Summit?

The Jazz Youth Summit is a program run by the Ottawa International Jazz Festival that brings together the top young musicians from across the nation. Young artists receive a full scholarship for a ten day intensive program focusing on the musical development as individuals and as a band. The Summit features master classes by leading Jazz Musicians from all over the world such as Bela Fleck, Darcy James Argue, Hebie Hancock, and full access to one of Canada’s premier jazz Festivals. Additionally, over $53,000 of scholarship money have been given out over the program’s span to assist artists in pursuit of their music education.

Selection for the summit includes:
