The TD Jazz Youth Summit is a program run by the TD Ottawa Jazz Festival that brings together the top young musicians from across the nation.
Taking place during the Festival, the Summit provides young Canadian musicians a rare platform to develop their big band experience by working with internationally acclaimed musicians and clinicians, culminating in two performances on the TekSavvy Main Stage.
On Friday, June 30, they had the opportunity to pen for Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires. Then they performed for thousands in their nation’s capital on Canada Day. Sponsored by Stingray Music, a multiplatform music service available across the world and currently included in the service offering of pay TV providers and entertainment content providers, bestowed three cash bursaries:
Ardeshir Pourkeramati, from Vancouver, presented with $1,000 award by Zachary Monson from Stingray Music.
Kaelin Murphy, from Owen Sound, presented with Grand Prize $3,000 by Zachary Monson from Stingray Music.
Daniel Pitt, from Hamilton, presented with $1,000 award by Zachary Monson from Stingray Music.
