Dan Tepfer - Yamaha Disklavier
Prize winning, New York based Dan Tepfer has written a new language with his project “Natural Machines”. The computer- driven algorithms communicate with his piano, transforming digitized music to new heights. Tepfer composes exceptional arrangements with breadth and depth, melding together his background in astrophysics with his passion for music. The New York Times explains his work as “an impressive feat that keeps coming back to hearty and abiding respect.” Dan’s “Natural Machines” has recently been featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk and many know Dan as the sideman and frequent collaborator of the legendary saxophonist Lee Konitz.
