Jam sessions have been around longer than concerts themselves. It is the communal nature of music to share it: to play together for the sheer joy of playing! House bands will share the stage with an array of local musicians as well as musicians in bands that are performing at the Jazz Festival.
This is where you get to experience the raw nature of jazz and improvisation. It does not stop there however! Jazz is a much broader term than it used to be and in the spirit of today, you might see the band stretching to perform with artists best known for other styles of music.
The adventure is that you never know what is going to happen, but you surely do not want to miss it! Join us at the Lord Elgin Hotel, Grill 41 at 10:30 pm (June 22 – July 2, except Canada Day) for our Late Night Jam Sessions.
