2022 Festival Headliners

It’s been three years since our last festival and five since we called Confederation Park home, but we’re excited to announce that TD Ottawa Jazz Festival is back in a big way from June 24 – July 3, 2022 with hundreds of artists along for the ride! “This year’s festival is about discovery, built on the spirit of jazz and innovation,” explains Programming Manager Petr Cancura.

From virtuosic innovators, iconoclasts, and rising stars to outstanding double bills with back-to-back performances on the TD Main Stage, there are several fascinating discoveries to be made with a Gold, Bronze, Youth, Platinum or Day Pass.

The who’s who of innovators and iconoclasts will take to the TD Main Stage with performances by Bluegrass phenoms Punch Brothers (on opening night June 24); the celebrated classical, traditional pop, Latin and jazz group Pink Martini featuring China Forbes (July 2); and eminent American jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington (July 3).

The TD Main Stage is full of back-to-back double shows, like: Canada’s renowned jazz vocalist Holly Cole and the ethereal and spiritual saxophonist Charles Lloyd Quartet featuring Bill Frisell, Reuben Rogers & Eric Harland (June 25).

Famed American spiritual gospel singers Blind Boys of Alabama and Canadian country rock band legends Blue Rodeo (June 26).

Lucinda Williams followed by Emmylou Harris & The Red Dirt Boys are two legendary American singers and songwriters performing on Tuesday (June 28).

Grammy-nominated funky guitarist Cory Wong (of Vulfpeck) is followed by the celebrated and iconic Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Grammy-winning trumpeter Wynton Marsalis (June 29).

Virtuosic prodigy, singer-songwriter, pianist, organist, record producer and former member of Snarky Puppy Cory Henry will be followed by blues legend Buddy Guy (June 30), who has influenced scores of guitarists such as Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, to name a few.
