Swing into Spring – Live Auction & Benefit Concert

The TD Ottawa Jazz Festival swings into spring with a live annual auction and benefit concert featuring Latin Grammy/Juno winner, singer-songwriter Alex Cuba at Library & Archives Canada (395 Wellington St.), March 2, 6pm .

The auction, hosted by auctioneer Alan Neal (popular host of CBC’s All in a Day), will feature getaway packages to Prince Edward County, Fairmont Le Château Montebello and Kingston, Quebec City, Blacksheep Inn in Wakefield, Sens and Redblacks tickets and much more.

Following the auction, Latin sensation Alex Cuba will take the stage to perform his latest release Healer. Born Alexis Puentes in Cuba, Alex moved to Vancouver in 1999 where he continued to shape his career attaining major international acclaim! He credits his accomplishments to “believing more and more every day that I’m doing what I am supposed to be doing.”

As a non-profit organization that continues to serve the community for more than 37 years, the Jazz Festival relies on private donations to present some of the world’s biggest jazz and popular music to the city including artists such as: Dave Brubeck; Branford Marsalis; Herbie Hancock; Sharon Jones; Aretha Franklin; Return to Forever; Christian McBride and David Byrne & St. Vincent.
