Eagles / Walker

A duo comprised of Wayne Eagles (guitar) and Justine Walker (drums), both Carleton University Music alumni, and active musicians throughout the Ottawa area and beyond. Informed by old school jazz/rock and funk, they are similarly inspired by contemporary ECM-style textures. Showcasing original compositions in addition to arrangements of fusion classics and jazz standards, the duo focuses on dynamic interaction in their improvisation and approach to timbres.

Wayne Eagles is a university music educator with several well-received recordings to his credit. In addition, he's an endorsing artist for numerous musical instrument manufacturers.

Justine Walker is currently pursuing an M.A. in Music & Culture at Carleton University and is an avid musical collaborator, always looking for interesting playing opportunities.
