JUNO Winner Jocelyn Gould has been titled a leader in the next generation of great mainstream jazz guitarists. Since her debut album, Elegant Traveler, won the 2021 Juno for "Jazz Album of the Year", Jocelyn has maintained a busy schedule of touring internationally, recording, composing and mentoring younger musicians as a professor and Head of the Guitar Department at Humber College in Toronto.

"Golden Hour", Jocelyn's sophomore album set to be released in spring of 2022, is a further exploration of her musical character and personal development. Golden Hour showcases Jocelyn's virtuosic guitar playing, dynamic compositions, and introduces Jocelyn's voice, which is featured on several tracks of the album. Long-time fans and new listeners alike will be drawn in by Jocelyn's soulful and swinging approach in her next stage of artistry.

COVID Policy

The Ottawa Jazz Festival will align its Covid policy with any government safety regulations whether from civic, provincial, or federal authorities as they arise. At the moment (May 29th), there are no advisories mandating precautions for wearing masks or showing vaccination certificates for any festivals or indoor/outdoor performing arts events.

However, it is our practise to ask patrons, staff, and volunteers to wear masks while attending performances at indoor venues and wearing masks while outdoors in the Park is optional.

In addition, we will be going cashless at all our points of sale this year.

Our concern is everyone’s health and safety, naturally. Please do what’s best for you and makes you feel comfortable, except for masks indoors, you are free to do as you choose.
