"There is no Coney Island ride, with the possibility of the Cyclone, that can deliver thrills on the level of Winograd’s clarinet." - New York Music Daily. Clarinetist Michael Winograd is one of the most respected and versatile working musicians in klezmer music today. He has been described as “the Lebron James of Klezmer,” and “a hurtling comet of talent.” Although he is Brooklyn based, he spends most of his time on the move performing and teaching music around the world. When he’s not teaching, Michael is also one third of the transatlantic klezmer/cabaret collective Yiddish Art Trio, clarinetist of Tarras Band, a classic 1950’s Jewish American tribute group, and the co-founder and director of the ground breaking, borderless world fusion band Sandaraa. Michael's highly anticipated LP Kosher Style will be available in June 2019.
