Pete Woods and the Kindness of Jazz play music at the intersection of compassion, community and improvisation. It is nationally recognized for its Ottawa-sourced (and online freely-shared) 'music and meditation' events. With Pete's leadership on sax, the Kindness of Jazz evolves as a loose collaboration of friends who play music that flows and swings in surprising directions.

The Ottawa Jazz Festival will align its Covid policy with any government safety regulations whether from civic, provincial, or federal authorities as they arise. At the moment, there are no advisories mandating precautions for wearing masks or showing vaccination certificates for any festivals or indoor/outdoor performing arts events.
