Nous sommes très heureux d’accueillir les médias et les photographes au Festival de jazz d’Ottawa TD.

MÉDIAS CONVENTIONNELS.

L’agrément des médias est strictement réservé aux membres des médias établis¹, notamment la presse écrite, la radio, la télévision, le cinéma et les agences de presse, qui satisfont à toutes les exigences d’agrément du Festival de jazz d’Ottawa. Tous les médias doivent se conformer aux Directives à l'intention des médias et des photographes du Festival.

AGRÉMENT DES PHOTOGRAPHES.

L’agrément des photographes est strictement réservé aux photographes qui satisfont aux critères énoncés ci dessous dans la rubrique Photographes et qui détiennent un laissez-passer². Tous les photographes doivent se conformer aux Directives à l'intention des médias et des photographes du Festival.

MÉDIAS NON CONVENTIONNELS.

Les personnes représentant des entités qui diffusent des rapports, des photographies ou d’autres commentaires concernant le Festival ou la musique de jazz en général sur Internet exclusivement, peuvent se voir accorder un agrément au cas par cas, à la seule discrétion du Festival. Ces personnes devront se conformer au contenu des Directives à l'intention des médias et des photographes du Festival ainsi qu’à toute autre directive pouvant être établie par le Festival.

How to Apply for Accreditation.

Accreditation will be granted upon the following criteria and are subject to the Marketing Director’s approval:

  • Submit a completed Accreditation Form.
  • Submit a letter of assignment on official letterhead of a media organization signed by the Publisher, Assignment Editor, Editor-in-chief or Bureau Chief, specifying the name and functional title of the journalist. Complete contact information must be included. *Unsigned letters or emails will not be accepted.
  • Photocopy of a valid press card/work pass.

Submit the Accreditation Form together with a letter of assignment from your Editor/Bureau Chief and a photocopy of your valid professional press card to:

The Ottawa Jazz Festival reserves the right to determine the number of media and photographers accredited to cover the Festival and also reserves the right to refuse, suspend or cancel an accreditation at any time and without explanation. In the event of such refusal, suspension or cancellation, no claim may be brought against the Festival.

¹The Ottawa Jazz Festival defines “established media” as:

  • having an existing reputation within the local, national or international community for news coverage including critical reviews, editorials, commentary, etc. – using primarily accredited journalists³ who are recognized as such by their peers and the public
  • news outlets that employ journalists and freelancers to complete their mission to report the news
  • certain Internet sites may fall within this definition
  • individual blogs and ezines may not apply within the ‘established media’ category

²A photographer who qualifies for a photographer pass is someone who:

  • is recognized as such by peers
  • has a history of photographing news stories and events for established media
  • has been assigned by his/her employer to photograph the Festival
  • is an established freelance photographer approved by the Marketing Director (must sign an individual agreement with the Festival)

³An accredited journalist who qualifies for a media pass is someone who:

  • has received specialized training in the field (not necessarily in academic institutions)
  • is recognized as such by peers (publishers, assignment editors and journalists working in the same profession or is a member of a recognized association)
  • has a history of reporting for established media
  • has been assigned by his/her employer to cover and/or review the Festival
  • is an established freelance reporter
